Under The Trees

At night

Under the trees

Warm rain and a

Gentle breeze

Wash away my tears

Tenderly embracing me

And bring hope to

The hurting

Silver ribbons of

Moonlight decorate and delight

More beautiful than

Anything money could buy

My castle of leaves

My enchanted Kingdom

Under the trees

I hide myself

Within the stars

Of this summer night

My secret place

Under the trees

Crickets sing a sweet melody

Dreamy water slips and sighs

The owl joins in

For a glorious symphony

As I walk among the leaves

I have the elusion

Of peace and contentment

Let me exist

For a little while

Wrap myself in wonder

As I walk through

The trees

Under the moon

Beyond the world

In the quiet stillness

A new song lingers

The on coming of

The pale rose of

The end of night

I tell my heart

To hush her aching

There is always

One more night

Under The Trees
