The Happiness of Wings

To have wings

Wings of lace white and pink

A palace of roses

Among the leaves

The Happiness of Wings

Fluttering bright and light

Under shimmering fields of rain

In and out of shadows

Though a dew wet way

To hide within a flower

While the moon wanders

Among the stars

To rise and float

Where the wind blows sweet

The Happiness of Wings

Dreams of wings

Like tapestries

Fairy gold and crystal castle

Magic music

Dancing and singing

Beneath the willow

Laughter on my lips

Flowers in my hair

A gown of star dust

All strung with

Silver lilies up and down

A wand of roses

With pink ribbons fluttering

All sweetness and wings

Wild the dream

To have wings

Wings of lace

White and pink

Starry slippers upon my feet

The Happiness of Wings
