Tears and Rain

Night storm singing

Thunder rumbles down

It is the time of rain

Breathless stars

Blossom in the gloom

Under a rose colored moon

Standing in the rain

All this dampness

And recklessness

I sigh and wish and want

I am weary of this

Sad song that plays

Over and over in my heart

I whisper to the midnight sky

The wind steals my words

I waste the night in sighs

I try so hard to forget you

But the rain won’t let me

Sweet sins, wishful still

Rain drops, unexpected kisses

Memory sleeps within

The rain, and

Sweet memories have

Been falling all day

Soft silken hours

Tease of your nearness

So sudden and so sweet

Nothing between us

But the rain

Tender caresses

Touch upon my skin

Teasing the want

Gently fingertips tease

My body shivers with delight

How sweet to be

In wishful surrender

Desires dance

Must be magic

A kiss a sigh and so away

The stars are displaced

Dark – wild – dismal – night storm

Tears streaming

Rain in my heart

Foolish things, empty delight

Can you feel my tears

Can you hear me weep

To  know the difference

Between tears and rain

And this sad heart

Hides once again

Reality and I have quarrelled. This is where I go so he can't find me, my Other Place. Here I can spin my Fancies and Fiction, as I wander among the Stars and listen as they whisper their secret to the moon. My name is Annie, I am lovely and lonely and I belong deeply to myself. I love cats, listening to the blues, the mountains more than the beach, being lazy, writing my fancies and fiction and I also love to crochet. That's me and this is my Other Place.
