Starry Soul of Me

I stand by the river

Beneath the Willows

A slow summer night

I watch the stars

As they dazzle the

Moon with their perfection

Restless and wild

Slowly increasing magic

Blossoming in the night

There is enchantment under the Willows

Mystic – earth and Lilac – rose sky

And another moon that only

The Fairies see

Hidden from you and I

Dancing with my Fairy friends

Beneath the eternal moon

Wearing my gown of tear drops

Strung with pieces from my

Broken heart

Faded flowers in my hair

But starry slippers upon my feet

And a wand of roses with

Fluttering ribbons of pink

magic possibilities whispering to me

Inside their universe

Adventure swings afar

With careless footsteps

Beyond tomorrow like a star

Follow fast, follow far

By midnight or dawn

What has my heart learned

I went to sleep smiling

Alas; I wake alone once again

Enchantment – unspelled

Fairyland – gone

They have taken the

Starry soul of me

And hidden it

Among The Stars
