Lost Summer

As I walk among the trees

Under the midnight moon

The wind whispers – asking me

Are you thinking of something

I think of days when I

Seemed to have no trouble at all

Of bliss untouched by sorrow

Of dusty roads – time

Dripping away like a rainy day

Unforgettable flowers

White tattered clouds

Delicate moonlight upon the water

Of lost summer

To be happy and perfect

For a moment
