Thoughts of Unforgetting

I do not think, when we are over

You will recall my body or my kiss

You will shut close – the memory of me

My laughter my sighs

And how without them you were lonely

With only thoughts of unforgetting

The feel of my lips

Upon your skin – our bodies

Entwined – ribbons of moonlight

And endless rain on

A hot summer night

My brown eyes do not

Haunt you – gold light

And brown light – of days end

Do not remind you of them

How can you not forget

Like dead leaves, my memory

Decaying – blown and gone

In the wind

Reality and I have quarrelled. This is where I go so he can't find me, my Other Place. Here I can spin my Fancies and Fiction, as I wander among the Stars and listen as they whisper their secret to the moon. My name is Annie, I am lovely and lonely and I belong deeply to myself. I love cats, listening to the blues, the mountains more than the beach, being lazy, writing my fancies and fiction and I also love to crochet. That's me and this is my Other Place.

Memories are like ghost. They appear to create old yearning and need. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.
