Like Joy Upon Sorrow

Knowing the darkest shattering hour

My soul not awakening

Till the dream of eternity

Should bring the morrow

Beneath the moon – silver – ray’s

Where wild flowers breathe

On their slumber, all softly

And pour their spirit out in tears

It’s joy – it’s little lot of pain

Parted upon their misty wings

Just like any other dream

To haunt – murmuring in melody

And they put out the starlight

O when will the morrow come

As rocking  lullabies as they go

Nodding above the dim abyss

Like joy upon sorrow
