A Wind Of Roses

Love is blind – foolish
brought me down to
death and hell
for sin as well
woe is me
to be deceived

To pick the shadow
with the rose – desolate
in tall wild grass
beneath the vernal moon
two world’s whispering
over me – nevermore
with the evermore

I walk the vast
Forever – breathing sigh
a sigh for answer – and
there blows a wind of roses
in the hush of emptiness
no more a begging
at a beggars door

I loved once, I’ll love
no more – I’ll neither
grieve nor yet rejoice
with one sweet sad voice
I whisper my despair

You may shatter the vase
but the scent of roses
will forever stay

Reality and I have quarrelled. This is where I go so he can't find me, my Other Place. Here I can spin my Fancies and Fiction, as I wander among the Stars and listen as they whisper their secret to the moon. My name is Annie, I am lovely and lonely and I belong deeply to myself. I love cats, listening to the blues, the mountains more than the beach, being lazy, writing my fancies and fiction and I also love to crochet. That's me and this is my Other Place.
