Midnight Haunting

Another midnight haunting

traversing silhouette dreams

for things lost in forever

They died adorning the sky;

stars fell, the shreaded ribbins

ripped from gypsy clouds

hide and seek no more a game

It’s survival

It’s pass is long still;

this night too, hot

sheds melancholy secrets

without you – this guilt

forces bitter tears

from decaying eyes

The dreadful hour

sweet tea and whisky

lets me forget things

time – love – death – you

the nothing of thoughts

hurrying down the air

No happy ever after

In this fairytale

Only the reverberating ticks

falling in single droplets

of regret

within my nightmare

Reality and I have quarrelled. This is where I go so he can't find me, my Other Place. Here I can spin my Fancies and Fiction, as I wander among the Stars and listen as they whisper their secret to the moon. My name is Annie, I am lovely and lonely and I belong deeply to myself. I love cats, listening to the blues, the mountains more than the beach, being lazy, writing my fancies and fiction and I also love to crochet. That's me and this is my Other Place.
