Words and Dust

That old man time

Have forgot and left

Behind me an hour

Now I’m running out

Of light and love

The moon no longer

Lingers above – and the

Stars sigh for the loss

Of their love

The fall of the leaves and rain

The midnight wind – it’s sighs

And sounds – voiceless words

Of love inseparable

I catch at times, at times I miss

The sigh, the kiss, I knew so well

Why was it so? That our

Spell must end, I do not know.

And then we kissed and

Said goodbye – as I gather

To my heart but words and dust

Reality and I have quarrelled. This is where I go so he can't find me, my Other Place. Here I can spin my Fancies and Fiction, as I wander among the Stars and listen as they whisper their secret to the moon. My name is Annie, I am lovely and lonely and I belong deeply to myself. I love cats, listening to the blues, the mountains more than the beach, being lazy, writing my fancies and fiction and I also love to crochet. That's me and this is my Other Place.
