The Things You Stole

Bring me moonlight
On a sky of stardust
With rosebuds brought by the rain
Smile away the despair
Of the darkest night
Let me have this pure thing

Nothing fades like hope forgotten
Give me back the things you stole
Nothing fades like trust lost
Where do you really wander to?

Nothing fades as a heart broken
Let me have this promise back
The unknown stands behind me
A passion that knows no end
Breathing in these colors
Do I have enough of you to find?

Reality and I have quarrelled. This is where I go so he can't find me, my Other Place. Here I can spin my Fancies and Fiction, as I wander among the Stars and listen as they whisper their secret to the moon. My name is Annie, I am lovely and lonely and I belong deeply to myself. I love cats, listening to the blues, the mountains more than the beach, being lazy, writing my fancies and fiction and I also love to crochet. That's me and this is my Other Place.
