I’m Always There

To dance with the breeze
And race to the end of existence
So effortlessly free and limitless
Look to the heavens
And you’ll see me in the clouds

I’ll bring you back
A piece of the moon
For a light to roam through my shadow
Let me fill the spaces you’re missing
Where we will be forgotten, yet together

Close your eyes – come with me
And let’s go back to the start
My fingertips kiss the peak of time
I’ll take you wherever you want to go
Lay your soul down with me
And drift away

Let this love trickle away
Into the open air
The last breath I take
A kiss upon your lips
Reassuring you that
I’m always there

  1. Is this written from the perspective of your son? If not, I should give up reading poetry. If it is, I can’t tell you how happy I was to read this uplifting piece. I think it would serve you well to do it again! Stellar…

    1. Most of what I write is about my feelings dealing with he is gone and I still live. The hardest thing I ever had to do was keep living after he died. I still want him back, which is impossible and I still want to join him in death, tried of this empty life.

      1. Ask yourself if he would want you as a livingdead, or make some meaning out of everything. I don’t know what else to tell you…it’s your choice in the end, no matter what.
